NATIONAL HOCKEY FUND FOR STATE SCHOOLS - FIRST PRIMARY FESTIVAL TAKES PLACE IN THE WEST

Weymouth HC in partnership with the School Games Organiser (SGO) for West Dorset delivered the first Primary Hockey Skills Festival as part of the new England Hockey initiative linked to the Membership Model. The festival was held in glorious weather on Thursday 25 September at the home of Weymouth HC, Redlands Community Sports Hub.

A resounding success with 9 schools attending with over 80 young players participating! The Skills Stations were delivered by 22 Young Leaders from the club. Well done Weymouth a great start to your extensive state school programme.

The SGO was extremely pleased with the first of many festivals - ‘It was absolutely fantastic, feedback from the schools was excellent, the young leaders did an amazing job, great bunch you have at Weymouth HC.’
