Important Information for Umpires, Counties and Clubs

Please read this the current advice from Marsh, EH's insurance provider regarding umpire insurance on this page:

'Umpires are covered through Club Membership while they are acting on behalf of/representing their club. This includes umpiring at an away game providing they are still representing your club.

However, the Club Membership cover for your club does not extend them umpiring outside of the club environment (such as umpiring school fixtures, County matches or other “pooled” umpiring situations), or when asked to umpire on behalf of another club that they are not linked with.

If they are appointed as neutral umpires and/or in any of the situations outlined above, then they must be a Silver or Gold member of the England Hockey Officials Club in order to receive insurance cover.'
